The CHIJ Netball School Team is a niche CCA, having won the 'B' and 'C' Division titles many times over the years. This is a strong tradition that we are proud to uphold and defend. We compete in the South Zone Netball Championships and in topping our respective groups, subsequently move on to compete in the National Inter-School Netball Championships. Competition season lasts from January to April and our intensive and rigorous training begins in the month of November.

Under the leadership and expertise of our coach Ms Kok Mun Wai, who has been with us for the last seventeen years, as well as the guidance of our teachers-in-charge, we are proud to claim the double championship title for both 'B' and 'C' Division in this year's National Inter-School Netball Championships on 19 April 2013. The last time we clinched this feat was in 2005. This is indeed one of the sweetest victories we have ever tasted.

However, netball is not only about winning competitions. Besides the annual championships, CHIJ Netball also plays friendly matches with many different schools and teams (both local and overseas). This helps us to learn from the other players and allows us to gain more experience on the court. In 2010, some of our netballers went to New Zealand and Kuala Lumpur as part of our sports immersion programme.

Netball in CHIJ is not just an ordinary team sport, but one where its members are closely knit and taught the importance of sportsmanship. With our perseverance and determination, we hope to continue to bring glory to the school!
